Marek Solano Draft
Who He Is
Marek Solano is the man Corvid Financial sends when a file has gone cold and personal. He is not muscle, or not first. He is a finder, a patient, unhurried professional who has learned that most runners catch themselves if you simply keep showing up. Middle-aged, unremarkable, dressed like a mid-level auditor because that is more or less what he is, right up until it is not.
He works a percentage and his own reputation, and the reputation is the valuable part. Solano has never lost one he was paid to find, and he would rather talk a debtor into a payment plan than break anything, because paperwork closes files and blood opens investigations. That restraint is exactly what makes him hard to shake. You cannot provoke a man who is in no hurry, and Shack, who is always in a hurry, hates that about him.
How He Operates
- The slow pressure. Solano surfaces rarely and never at a good time. A message left with a dockmaster, a face in a bar three tables over, a payment demand routed through the station office. The threat is the certainty, not the ambush.
- He escalates by the book. Talk, then legal seizure, then contracted muscle only if a debtor makes him. Corner him and he negotiates, because he is a businessman and everything is a number.
Relationships
- Works for Corvid Financial — Contracts Corvid's harder frontier files for a percentage of recovery.
- Hunting Shackleton Magellan — Working Shack's file with unhurried patience; already two systems into the chase.
