Player Characters Draft
PCs not yet created. Build in Session 0. This roster fills in as players make characters.
Build Parameters (GURPS 4e, Space)
- Points: 175 / up to 75 in disadvantages.
- TL11, limited super-science (mostly FTL). Biotech, cybernetics, nanotech all permitted.
- No Wealth, no Status, no Rank, no Independent Income. Start with the clothes on your back and a backpack — the down-on-their-luck frame.
- Citizens by default. Take Second-Class Citizen to play a non-citizen (resident) — meaningful in this setting (no federal protection; deportable).
- The hook: each PC is desperate enough to take a “security” job at a dying frontier station — struck out in business, can’t hold a job, on the run, or worse. Define why.
- The crew: a four-person security team hired onto the same posting, though each arrived separately (established in Session 1): Six shipped as frozen cargo, Rock Lavey and Shackleton Magellan in cryo-pods, Ronin Sanchez later and on his own. Suggested spread — the talker, the bruiser, the tech, the sharp eye — but flex to taste.

Crew Connections
One thread between each pair — even strangers thrown onto the same dead-end posting need a reason to trust the person beside them. Fill in during Session 0.
- Six ↔ Rock Lavey: Lavey scanned Six, learned what he is — and said nothing. The doctor who chose mercy over the bounty; Six owes him a wordless debt. The crew’s two debtors, bound by a kept secret.
- Shackleton Magellan ↔ Six (seed, DRAFT): the crew that raided Shack’s expedition (Sable Reclamation) were vat-grown boarding assets of a pattern uncomfortably like Six. When Shack describes what stripped his ship, Six is the one person who’d recognize it — the maker’s marks, the flat economy of the way they moved. A thread for Session 0, if Jay and Ant want it.
