NOTICE OF TERMINATION FOR CAUSE

To the protection asset formerly assigned to the
person of the young master.

Your engagement is ended, effective immediately,
for cause. The cause is entered as failure of
protective duty resulting in the death of the
principal. This is the finding of the House. The
House does not revisit its findings.

You will understand that a family in mourning
requires an account, and that the account cannot
be the young master's own judgement, for he is not
here to answer for it and the dead are owed better
than blame. That leaves you. You are the account.
The House trusts you are professional enough to
understand the arithmetic without it being spelled
further.

Your contract is void. The augmentations financed
under it revert, per the schedule, to House title.
Recovery is a separate matter and will find you in
its own time. Do not make it look for you longer
than it must.

You served the young master well for the better
part of ten years. He was fond of you. The House
will remember that it was fond of him, and will
remember nothing else. We suggest you do the same.
