40mm EMP Device

Current Holder: Shackleton Magellan (fired once in Session 9)

Origin: Carried by Shackleton Magellan

Overview

A 40mm electromagnetic pulse gadget in Shackleton Magellan’s kit. In the Aethel City Sewers he waited for a pursuing security drone to close the distance, then set it off. The pulse disabled the drone and sent it tumbling into the sewer water. Shackleton knew the blast would take out his own unhardened gear and accepted that: his electronics blacked out for several seconds, leaving him blind and deaf to his surroundings while Aethel Safety Bureau officers closed in.

Properties

• Caliber: 40mm.
• Effect: disables unhardened electronics in range, friend or foe.
