Overview
A dense crystalline sand produced naturally on the surface of desert planets with high wind speeds, such as Greredi IV. Its needed for to create the shielding used in vortex engines to protect the engine from the high levels of energy produced. Without the shielding the level of energy generated would rip apart the engine after use.
