Sargasso Void
gravitational anomaly
The Sargasso Void is the massive, uncharted gravitational anomaly the Thides System orbits — a dark, enormous nothing that swallows light and defies navigation, sitting at the ragged edge of explored space in Sector 7-G.
Overview
The Sargasso Void is the massive, uncharted gravitational anomaly the Thides System orbits — a dark, enormous nothing that swallows light and defies navigation, sitting at the ragged edge of explored space in Sector 7-G. It is the reason Thides is a charted dead end: no one has successfully mapped a way through it.
What is publicly known is thin. Gravity behaves strangely inside it. It reads as a huge mass with nothing visible to account for it, which the common assumption chalks up to dark matter. There is standing speculation that the void conceals planets no one can see. Beyond that — a name, weird gravity, and unseen worlds in theory — nothing about the Sargasso is established.

Appearances
- Session 1 (Session 01 - The Ragged Edge of Space) — Established as the anomaly the Thides System orbits, seen through the terminal windows and felt in the system’s dead-end reputation. Named the Sargasso Void.
Relationships
- Adjacent to Thides System — The Thides system orbits the void; it is the reason the system is a charted dead end.
- Located at Sector 7-G — The anomaly sits at the ragged edge of explored space, within Sector 7-G.
