CHARGE ....... Negligent homicide, one count. Finding
entered by the Provincial Medical
Board and the court together. Fled
before disposition.
JURISDICTION . Planetary. This warrant does NOT run
on federal worlds and no Marshal will
serve it. Recovery is a private matter
between the subject and whoever brings
him back to Wu soil to answer it.
COLLECT ...... ALIVE. A body settles nothing. The fee
is paid on delivery to a Wu-registered
port, breathing and fit to stand.
FINDING SUBJECT — NOTES FOR THE TRADE
He will not carry a licence, a title, or a real
name if he can help it. He will carry a full
medical kit and he will use it. The fastest way
to place him is the work: he cannot leave a hurt
person alone. Put a bleeding man in front of him
and he will stop, every time, whatever it costs
him. That is not a guess. It is on the record from
three separate skips.
He answers to "Rock" or "Lavey" and flinches at
"Doctor." A narrow professional circle still knows
his face as the surgeon who was struck off.

long it takes the word to reach whatever hole he
has run to.
