Overview

The automated legal terminal in the security office that books suspects, sets fines, and issues deportation orders on MacMillian Station IV. To the guards who use it, it is a convenience: feed in a charge, let the machine rule, collect the credits. Underneath, it is a black box that nobody visibly controls and nobody can openly question.

• Selective in a way that is not written down anywhere: charges against connected individuals and protected businesses are quietly dismissed, while identical offenses committed by independent miners are penalized in full.

• Session 1 (Session 01 - The Ragged Edge of Space) — The crew booked minor Security Gate 1 violations through it during their first shift and were paid out. Over the settling-in weeks, Six ran a deliberate ticketing experiment, filing charges for every infraction he could find, and the pattern emerged: the machine ate the charges against the connected and kept the ones against the poor. The crew’s first hard evidence that the station’s corruption is baked into its infrastructure, not just its culture.
