Aethel Security Checkpoint

Overview

The high-security gateway between Aethel Starport and the city of Aethel proper — a thorough, customs-style process with invasive scans and bag checks for contraband and lethal weaponry on the city-entry side. The starport’s own entry scanners catch lethal arms; this checkpoint is the harder filter behind them, and the reason Roselyn Monroe names smugglers like Mariana Pesaro in the same breath as city jobs.

Beyond it, a free public shuttle runs into the corporate district.

Points of Interest

• City-entry scanning — invasive scans and bag checks, contraband and lethal-weapons focus.
• The free public shuttle — checkpoint to city centre.
• The way around — Six established in Session 7 that the starport’s waste pipes pass under the perimeter: a two-fence security barrier with automated pop-up scanners in the gap, defeated by going through the pipe itself into the Aethel City Sewers. At speed. Involuntarily.

Appearances

• Session 7 (Session 07 - The Goodwin Contract) — Shackleton Magellan and Rock Lavey passed through legitimately on the reconnaissance run; Six went under it.
