The crew learned exactly how the policing works. Shackleton Magellan cloned Edvin’s badge where he slept on an upper platform, Rock Lavey and Ronin Sanchez blocking sightlines, and a droid moved on them the instant the copy finished. It checked Edvin, found the man still had his card, and stood down. No crime, no report. The crew walked out.
