Corrosive Goo
Current Holder: none — dissipated/retreated with the container
Origin: Released from ruptured cylinders in the back of the Kinetic Logistics Container
Overview
Cylinders mounted at the back of the Kinetic Logistics Container ruptured moments after Six began cutting into the relay wiring, releasing a dark ooze that spread fast and aggressively consumed the electronics around it — chewing through wiring, terminals, and the alien-side hardware alike. It behaved less like a leak and more like a system responding to intrusion: everything it touched came apart.
The substance briefly touched Six’s vibro-axe during the fighting retreat to clear the container, leaving a faint cosmetic scar on the blade’s edge before the ooze retreated. It never reached Six directly, and it vanished along with the container and the rest of the relay when the countdown expired.
Nobody on the crew got a sample. Whatever it was built to do, it did its job — by the time station sensors recorded the vortex event, there was nothing left of the relay for the ooze to still be eating.
Properties
- Appearance: dark, viscous ooze.
- Trigger: released from ruptured cylinders at the rear of the container, apparently in response to the relay being tampered with or the countdown reaching its final stage.
- Effect: aggressively disintegrated nearby electronics; left only a cosmetic mark where it briefly touched Six’s vibro-axe before retreating.
- Sample status: none recovered — no trace survived the container’s disappearance.
Appearances
- Session 2 (Session 02 - The MacMillian Anomaly) — Released from ruptured cylinders inside the Kinetic Logistics Container as Six severed the Mysterious Relay; consumed surrounding electronics and briefly marked his vibro-axe before the container vanished.
Relationships
- Part of Kinetic Logistics Container — Cylinders at the back of the container ruptured and released the ooze.
