Territory: Kinetic Logistics Compound on restricted Thides III

Overview

A corporation whose name the crew first met as a label — the shipping logo and countdown-terminal tag on the Kinetic Logistics Container found in Processing II (Session 2). In Session 3 the name became a place: an illegal compound on restricted Thides III, hidden in the world’s EM-hazard shadow, moving grown alien technology and illegal vortex engines off the surface on ships that jump in and out of the atmosphere without tripping the satellite net. The same dissolving substance that scrubbed the Processing II container’s evidence is used here as a weapon — it downed the crew’s transport. Its security on the ground is provided by the Akker Cartel, with Daniela Akkermans observed commanding from the compound.

Goals & Methods

Player-side unknown. Observably: covert extraction and transfer of alien tech from a restricted world, under cover of a falsified relay-maintenance record (Relay Station 11 logged as serviced for two years by an unknown name), with cartel muscle and self-destruct/evidence-scrub discipline.

At least two ships at the compound (a newer Kinetic Logistics cargo vessel and an older alien-tech transport, the latter now stolen by the crew), a warehouse of cargo, ~50–60 workers, vortex-capable hulls, and Akker Cartel security.

History

• Session 2 — name appears on the Kinetic Logistics Container in Processing II.
• Session 3 — the Kinetic Logistics Compound on Thides III is discovered and raided; the crew steal an alien-tech transport and take a technician prisoner.

Session 4 (Session 04 - The Case of the Missing Courtesan) — Escalated from a name on evidence to an active armed presence on MacMillian Station IV. Days after the crew raided the Kinetic Logistics Compound on Thides III, an armoured team ambushed them on routine patrol in the Shipping and Receiving Sector: a tripwire and trigger box, total communications jamming, gas canisters, and beam weapons that burn through reinforced station plating. The crew killed one, captured one alive, and recovered a Kinetic Logistics ID Card from the dead man — the first documentary proof tying the company to violence aboard the station. In the same period the The Albatross the crew took from the compound left the Thides System out of a federal quarantine, taking the Alien Navigation Device and the vortex engines with it.

• Session 5 (Session 05 - Hostile Takeover) — Stopped hiding. Julija Borja’s briefing named Kinetic Logistics outright as a front for a smuggling operation running out of the Thides System, and tied its prototype weapons to targeted killings of high-ranking individuals across the sector. A covert Federal Republic listening post in the Thidian Belt had tracked a Kinetic Logistics ship to 07-Delta Station on Thides I rather than out through the gate. At 07-Delta Station the crew found the facility being rigged for demolition — workers in vacuum suits running wires to a central detonator box — plus armoured troops in heavy space armour with blaster rifles, a control room of unarmoured technicians working primitive wiring boards, and P.E.T.A. literature scattered blood-soaked through the room. Daniela Akkermans was directing the operation and escaped. The control room detonated behind the crew as they withdrew. On the station, Kinetic Logistics supplied the armed force of the Pratrock Dynamics takeover: drop ships attached to the hull, armoured soldiers holding the corridors outside the security and Marshal’s offices, a ten-strong squad assaulting Docking Bay 36 with backpack-deployed combat robots, two transports and at least eight fighters in orbit. Akkermans personally killed Marshal Julija Borja.

• Session 7 (Session 07 - The Goodwin Contract) — Dead as a company, alive as a supply chain. Roselyn Monroe independently confirmed the dissolution — she identified the alien cube’s technology as Kinetic Logistics’ and noted the company has been absorbed by a parent corporation she did not name, adding that she would look into it. Meanwhile its branded crates of grazer pistols are surfacing on the black market around Eris III, with Julija Borja’s evidence pointing to Goodwin Investments as the connection — the trigger for The Goodwin Contract.
