A small crate bearing Kinetic Logistics branding that Roselyn Monroe set on her worktable when she laid out the Goodwin job. Inside: six advanced grazer pistols — the same hand-built, above-TL model the crew have been meeting since the Thides System — which have been appearing on the black market around Eris III. The evidence in Julija Borja’s bag pointed to Goodwin Investments as the connection.

A company that no longer exists, branding a crate of weapons no one manufactures, surfacing through a legitimate investment firm’s books. The crate is the Goodwin contract’s why.
