The Kinetic Logistics Compound Raid
Location Kinetic Logistics Compound
battle
Outcome: Crew steals an alien-tech transport with vortex engines and take a live prisoner; the compound is left EMP-blacked-out with its Kinetic Logistics ship disabled.
Participants
- Every active PC — [[Six]] — infiltration & capture; [[Ronin Sanchez]] — pilot & fence-kill; [[Shackleton Magellan]] — EMP blast analysis; [[Rock Lavey]] — defused the rigged hold
- Jareth Brand — company technician, non-combatant; satellite clearance codes
- Daniela Akkermans — observed commanding the compound
- Marlo Petrak — captured
Overview
The climax of the Thides III maintenance run: after their transport was downed and they discovered the sabotaged Relay Station 11, the crew tracked a hidden Kinetic Logistics Compound five miles through the jungle, scouted it, and raided it — stealing an older transport rigged with alien navigation tech and illegal vortex engines, capturing a technician, and escaping under fire. It is the first time since the Processing II anomaly the crew leave with physical proof rather than only what they witnessed.
What Happened
- Six scouted the compound under a chameleon suit and mapped it: two landing pads, a warehouse, a command building, ringed by EM diffusers and a six-foot fence; ~50–60 people hand-loading cargo onto a Kinetic Logistics ship. He spotted Daniela Akkermans of the Akker Cartel watching the jungle from the command building.
- The crew planned it: Six planted an EMP on the main gate timed to the returning Akker Cartel ATV; Shackleton Magellan calculated the blast radius to kill the command center and the Kinetic Logistics ship while sparing the older target vessel.
- Six scaled the fence, boarded the older ship, found alien tech in the nav computer (a jump logged straight into atmosphere), and ambushed and choked out a technician wiring alien “bricks” in the sealed rear compartment.
- The ATV crossed the gate; the EMP fired, cascading through the gate, command center, Kinetic Logistics ship, and perimeter diffusers. Ronin Sanchez vaulted the fence on a smart rope and gunned down a guard before the alarm; Shackleton, Rock Lavey, and Jareth followed.
- Rock Lavey found the rear “bricks” wired to external detonators; the crew reeled the lines inside. Ronin Sanchez fired up the stolen ship (“Buckle up, motherfuckers”), rode out dead heavy weapons and small-arms fire, dodged two dissolving biological blobs on the climb, and cleared the satellite net on Jareth’s codes.
Why This Matters
- The crew now hold the The Albatross — vortex engines, alien navigation, a hold of alien tech — and a live prisoner. Empty-handed no longer.
- Kinetic Logistics is exposed to them as a real ground operation, and the Akker Cartel (Daniela Akkermans) is confirmed as its muscle.
- The compound and cartel now know they were hit and roughly by whom — pursuit or cover-up pressure is live going into the next session.
