Daniela Akkermans

Daniela Akkermans

Role Leader of Akker Cartel Status alive
Primary commander of the group named after her, the Akker Cartel.

Overview

Primary commander of the group named after her, the Akker Cartel. She is a by the book operator with a long experienced history in first military operations, and then later criminal ones. Her planning is meticulous, and all aspects of an operation are reviewed before taking any job.

Notes

  • Anyone who scans her ID will noticed a large amount of the history blocked out by the Federal Republic. It will just note vague periods of time in Federal Marine service.
  • Shortly after getting out of the military, she had some biohack work done to reduce her visible age. DNA scans will reveal her true age to be in her 70s, while her visual appearance looks more of a late 30s or early 40s woman.

Motivations & Secrets

Appearances

  • Session 1 (Session 01 - The Ragged Edge of Space)Daniela Akkermans passed through Security Gate 1 during the crew’s first shift, screened alongside three companions, all four carrying honorable-discharge papers from the Federal Marines. Her service record scanned as long — decades of it — but almost entirely redacted, saying nothing beyond the fact that she had served. Later that night the crew noticed her again at the Nova Nexus, deep in a private conversation with unknown individuals in a corner.

  • Session 3 (Session 03 - Buckle Up Motherfuckers)Six spotted her scanning the surrounding jungle with binoculars from the second floor of the command building at the illegal Kinetic Logistics Compound on restricted Thides III, tying her Akker Cartel directly to the compound’s alien-tech operation. She did not detect the crew, who raided the compound and escaped with a stolen ship and a prisoner.

  • Session 4 (Session 04 - The Case of the Missing Courtesan) — Not present, but placed on the federal record twice over. Six named her to Julija Borja in Six’s Mission Report and under interrogation as the figure he observed commanding the Kinetic Logistics Compound, putting her at an illegal installation on a restricted world. He also identified Hildebrand Panza — one of the human cleaning crew who scrubbed Room 2002 after Brianna Melvin disappeared — as one of the men who cleared Security Gate 1 alongside her in Session 1. That identification ties her people to the hotel cover-up as well as to the compound.

  • Session 5 (Session 05 - Hostile Takeover) — Seen twice, and lethal the second time. At 07-Delta Station she was inside the control room directing unarmoured personnel around the wiring boards, and slipped out through a door on the far side just as the crew prepared to breach — leaving the room’s six operatives to be killed in the sweep that followed. She reappeared during the escape from MacMillian Station IV. With Julija Borja working at a terminal in Docking Bay 36 with her helmet removed, Akkermans came through a door behind her and drove a knife into her neck, killing her before anyone could intervene. The crew were under fire from ten armoured Kinetic Logistics soldiers and could not reach her. She is alive, aboard the station, and has now personally killed a Federal Marshal.
