Overview

People for the Ethical Treatment of Androids — a militant group of naive youth, mostly the children of the wealthy and high-status, who spend their time advocating the civil rights of androids. Led by the charismatic Kumari Profeta, who preaches the freeing of this “slave class” by any means as a holy war against the establishment.

Most members join for the thrill — an exciting escape from mundane privileged lives. But a virulent few are true believers in Kumari’s vision: a utopian society where humans and androids live in communal existence, sharing the fruits of their labor as equals. Many are the children of Meridian System’s corporate elite — rebelling against the very bio-industry (like Castellan Biodynamics) their families profit from.

Goals & Methods

Liberate androids/synthetics by any means; force android civil rights; build Kumari’s communal utopia. Methods range from protest and propaganda to direct action — like the raid that cracked a Castellan Biodynamics cryo-vault and freed Six and others (it went loud; most members scattered or were caught).

Resources

Family money and high-status access (lawyers, doors, funds); a steady supply of idealistic young bodies; Kumari’s magnetism. Long on zeal and connections, short on discipline and tradecraft.

History

A youth movement turned militant cell under Kumari’s “holy war” framing. The Castellan vault raid is their most consequential — and most exposed — action to date.
