Overview

A legal and criminal organization that owns and operates out of the Bamboo Lounge. It’s front is running the docker union out of the Aethel Startport. They enforce strict membership of any worker on the startport’s docks.

While the union is formally a legal entity, it’s upper management along with some lower level officials, are known to participate in criminal activity. The union doesn’t have any formal criminal operations, but it is understood among members that any criminal activity among members needs to have funds kicked up to the fund.

The union maintains a pension fund known as “the fund” by members. This is raw cash as well as any operations the union owns or invests in. The union invested some of the pension funds into the purchase of the Lounge to create alternate income sources for the union. The union is a major client of Goodwin Investments.

• Session 7 (Session 07 - The Goodwin Contract) — First seen in operation. Union ground crews worked The Albatross’s pad the moment it landed, cargo handlers watched the ship for kickback opportunities, and the Bamboo Lounge’s reserved section hosted union business: a well-dressed man wearing a union pin met a rough-looking woman who left visibly upset, observed by Ronin Sanchez. Roselyn Monroe named union head Mariana Pesaro as a contact who could smuggle people into Aethel for a price.
