Nova Nexus

Nova Nexus

A gambling establishment and nightclub located on MacMillian Station IV.

Overview

A gambling establishment and nightclub located on MacMillian Station IV. It is owned by the biggest known criminal boss in the sector, Opeyemi Tichá. While intended to be a front operation, it’s surprise popularity on the station makes it as valueable as any other of Opeyemi’s enterprises. While considered upscale, its just as dirty as any other establishment on the station, this just has music, neon, and a dance floor. The floor the crew walked was fronted by a DJ, a holographic sports-betting pit, and table games — roulette, craps, and poker. Chief Holger Graeme flagged it to the crew as suspected of ties to the Serene Syndicate.

Points of Interest

Appearances

  • Session 1 (Session 01 - The Ragged Edge of Space) — On the crew’s first night off shift, the house comped them 200 credits of chips before they placed a bet. Shackleton Magellan caught the roulette dealer working a low-tech under-table mechanic to throw the ball to black whenever the crew had money down — a deliberate kickback — and let it ride. In the holographic boxing pit a bout looked fixed: the veteran Clubber was set up to put down a young newcomer ahead of a bigger match, and he did, in the third round. Daniela Akkermans was seen in a private corner conversation with unknown individuals.

Session 2 — The MacMillian Anomaly

The crew met Asher Bhattacharya, Nova Nexus’s head of security, in a run-down back room (a window looking out into open space, with an airlock set beside it) and came away with security footage and leads on Harsha Trent. They later returned to pool credits and watch legal fight broadcasts here, where a security guard pranked Six with a fake lead toward the illegal fighting pits. See Session 02 - The MacMillian Anomaly.

Owner: Opeyemi Tichá (the Session 2 export’s “Popoola Yemi-Tika” was the same NPC under a drifted name; mobRPG is canon, so the duplicate was merged into Opeyemi Tichá and deleted — Ant ruling 2026-07-12).
