Royale Hotel
hotelOld-money luxury kept polished on a station that has stopped polishing anything else — panoramic starfields, deep carpet, and service levels where the machines do the work and no one is meant to look.

Overview
A high-end hotel on the top level of MacMillian Station IV, where the station still keeps up appearances. Its luxury suites open onto panoramic views of the stars, its upper floors are access-restricted, and its service levels run on machines — cleaning droids that carry no long-term memory of their tasks, automated laundry, automated trash compaction.
The crew reached the restricted floors on Shackleton Magellan’s station security card, cleared by Holger Graeme on request.
Points of Interest
- Room 2002 — a lavish twentieth-floor suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a panoramic starfield wall. Site of the private party Wilton Agramunt hosted for Peter Goodwin, and the last place Brianna Melvin was recorded. When the crew searched it, the left bedroom stank of ammonia and cleaning agents and had been stripped — the only thing left in it was Brianna’s Earring, wedged behind the bed’s headboard. The right bedroom was untouched and held Róbert’s Engraved Watch and three Goodwin Investments business cards, marking it as Goodwin’s.
- The twentieth-floor corridor — a maintenance panel outside Room 2002 was missing a screw, matching a figure seen opening it on the footage. The wiring behind it showed no recent tampering.
- Basement Level 1 — laundry — industrial linen processing. The bedding running through it did not match the suite’s high-end linens, indicating the original sheets never reached the laundry at all.
- Basement Level 2 — trash and droids — automated trash compaction, conveyors, and droid charging stations. The biological sensors along the trash chutes had not been triggered, making body disposal down the chutes unlikely.
- Camera coverage — the elevator cameras went dark five to ten minutes before the cleaning crew arrived and stayed offline for about an hour after they left. The cameras on both basement levels were also non-functional.
Appearances
- Session 4 (Session 04 - The Case of the Missing Courtesan) — Reviewed remotely from station security footage, then searched in person. Established as the scene of The Room 2002 Cover-Up: a professional scrub of a suite used by the station manager, with the camera coverage timed around it.
Relationships
- Part of MacMillian Station IV — High-end hotel on the station's top-level entertainment and hotel district.
What Happened Here
The Room 2002 Cover-Up
Brianna Melvin is established as missing and presumed dead or permanently gone; the suite was professionally scrubbed by a crew including one of Daniela Akkermans' known associates, with camera coverage timed around it; the station manager has since disappeared. No proof of what happened to her, and no authority obliged to act.
