Firetemic Tower

A large skycraper located in the heart of Aethel.

Overview

A large skycraper located in the heart of Aethel. The building is home to the Firetemic Corporation, as well as other smaller corporations that rent office space.

As seen in play (Session 7): Goodwin Investments rents the 17th floor, and Peter Goodwin runs his operation from it — notorious among Firetemic’s own engineers for locking down the building’s large service elevator, most recently on the day of the crew’s reconnaissance, nearly costing an engineering team its funding by delaying a prototype presentation. The tower’s security, per Roselyn Monroe’s brief and the crew’s own stakeout: biometric access on the elevators, security cameras on every rear entrance, ventilation shafts too high and smooth to climb unequipped, and a two-stage armored garage off the back alley — an outer door admitting vehicles into a staging area, an inner door that opens only once the outer has sealed, cameras covering both. A Millennial Cleaning and Janitorial Services van cycles crews through it on a shift-change schedule, and a heavily armored, windowless black transport with armed guards in the cab makes secure deliveries into the restricted basement garage — most recently with Six flattened invisible on its roof.

Points of Interest

  • 17th floorGoodwin Investments; see Goodwin Investments Office.
  • The two-stage armored garage — back alley; the crew’s mapped soft entry.
  • The restricted basement garage — where Six ends Session 7, alone and invisible.
  • The large service elevator — Goodwin’s favourite thing to lock down.
  • The back alley — cameras, security doors, one recently terrified transient, and manhole access from the Aethel City Sewers.
